PERSPECTIVE
I approach documentation from the standpoint of a former bride,
yes and amen.
But also as a mom to a daughter who might herself very well be the bride one day. And also to two sons who may be sharing a mother-son dance with me at their weddings too.
As a daughter.
As a (middle) sister.
As maid-of-honor (aka my-best-friend-is-getting-married-and-I’m-on-the-verge-of-ugly-crying).
As a girl with bangs SO I GOT YOU, SISTERS WITH BANGS (I would never ever ever deliver your photos with a big ole split down the middle of your fringe.)
PERSPECTIVE
I think one of my strengths as a photographer is my strong sense of empathy. I believe the good Lord gave me empathy, and a LOT of it and that’s what shapes the way I view the world around me. I can’t help but feel what the people around me are feeling.
I cry when you cry.
I laugh when you laugh.
I melt when you melt.
I feel that giddiness I see in your eyes when you’re near the one you love.
I, with you, feel these feelings to the core of my being and try to document the photo session or wedding day in a way that highlights what I see being felt.
