Liz + Jacob studio maternity session
I’m finally getting these blogged - I took these almost one year ago to the date. Baby Evangeline (pictured here in mom’s belly) is so close to turning one so it’s definitely time to get this studio maternity session up to share with y’all. Jacob is my little brother and Liz is his GLORIOUSLY RADIANT (inside and out) wife and I love them both to pieces. I’m really proud of these images we made together to document this season of expecting their firstborn.
I loved the natural daylight we had to play around with in this studio — some of the direct light images ended up being my personal favorites. Which ones stand out most to you?
To end this post I’ll leave you with my eight-year-old daughter’s commentary as she looked through the photos in this post with me:
(first picture in dramatic lighting) “Ahh! I thought Jacob was the villain in Home Alone.”
“Liz is pregnant again?” (remember, these photos were taken a year ago haha)
“Liz is pretty. How old is she?”
“I want a baby because I want to hold it snuggling up against me.”
“I want to hold Evangeline. I never get to because I’m (exaggerated tone) IN GEORGIA SIXTEEN HOURS AWAY.” (which, sadly, is true).
Lastly, there is a free, super-simple way anyone reading this can help support my lil photography business. You see, I’m kind of an “all in where I am” type of gal (which actually works in my clients’ favor when I’m at their shoot or wedding I’m ALL THERE with full focus on serving where I am) so anytime there is editing to be done, I am rarely posting to social media or blogging. I’m just doing the next step to get my clients their photos as quickly as I can. But that approach is not business savvy, makes all algorithms hate me and depletes my reach when I’ll step away for a couple weeks or even delete Instagram for a month or two just to remove the scroll temptation of the app. So if you find it in your heart to support Jillian Zamora Photography in a no-time-or-money way — next time you see a story or a post of mine, could you just engage with it? Like it, comment on it, save it or share it with a friend you think might be in need of photos soon! I’d love to get the word out that I’m still booking weddings, as well as portrait sessions, for 2024 in both Texas and Georgia (in Savannah or in the Lowcountry - a nifty regional term I had no idea existed before I moved here) and the more people who engage with my posts and stories the more people who end up getting to see the post. Thanks, guys!
And if you haven’t yet, check out Hannah + Jonathan’s portrait session near beautiful Jones Street in downtown Savannah.
